The New Mexico History Museum is more than just a place to showcase the history of New Mexico. It is a real part of the story—a witness to history. The Museum is an extension of the Palace of the Governors on the Santa Fe Plaza—the Nation’s oldest continuously occupied government building. The exhibit galleries take visitors on a journey that spans four centuries. Using the stories of the unique cultural history of people who settled here and continue to make this place their home, this museum incorporates the varied voices highlighting the connective threads of place, culture and identity.
