G&A developed an Interpretive Master Plan for the complete restoration and renovation of the Palace of Governors in downtown Santa Fe. The plan serves as a guide and sets the framework for a strong, coherent narrative and creative direction for the renovation of the Palace of the Governors. The Palace of the Governors has played an important role in the social, cultural, historical and political life of Santa Fe and the surrounding region for over 400 hundred years. The building is the oldest government building in America and the team had to consider in its planning the strict federal guidelines for preservation and restoration. The Master Plan included a comprehensive fundraising and development plan with conceptual program and visuals with a supporting budget and schedule.
