We are seeking an experienced, creative HR leader with an entrepreneurial attitude, a passion for excellence, and hands-on willingness to work collaboratively to get things done. You will have a direct hand in driving the next phase of growth at G&A by optimizing the full cycle of G&A’s talent, recruiting, and HR management functions, ensuring that we attract, retain, and grow the best people and maintain a healthy and vibrant work environment.
You will work closely with the G&A principals and a team of talented leaders to map talent strategy to business strategy, developing HR programs that drive a high-performing culture, putting people at the heart of decisions and development.
Core responsibilities include; Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, and Onboarding, Talent Development (including pro-active mentorship and coaching), Performance Management (in concert with supervisors), Employee Relations: Engagement and Culture, Feedback, and Benchmarking, People, Planning & Staffing (in concert with COO), HR Core Services (in concert with CFO and COO), Oversight of external HR Operations Consultant, Compensation and Benefits, Legal Compliance and Risk Management, and Framework for Promotions and Company Equity.
Desired skills and experience is as follows; 10+ years driving the talent function — ideally within design, creative, or cultural institutions — with at least 3 years in a leadership position, Experience designing, building, and running the full suite of talent processes and systems (from recruiting to training development to performance management), Excellent, demonstrated management skills including the ability to inspire, motivate, influence, and hold colleagues accountable to high standards, Leadership that inspires and grounds others in a shared purpose, Ability to see where the business is headed and develop programs proactively, Strong communication skills, including team facilitation, with the ability to break down complex concepts and clearly explain them, Great organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail, Strong project management skills with the ability to translate vision into action, A track record of attracting retaining, and growing great people, A strong personal learning orientation — the ability to learn and grow from mistakes and the desire to continually improve and grow, Knowledge of HR laws and regulations, and the ability to manage an organization toward compliance and risk mitigation.
